The phoenix is known as the "feng huang" in Chinese. In the Chinese culture, the phoenix symbolizes the Empress as well as prosperity, high virtue, and grace. Only the Empress wore this symbol during the ancient times. It was thought of as the female counterpart of the Chinese dragon, which was a symbol worn only by the Emperor.
This artistic collection of Baoding Balls is hand painted with finer detail and uses more colors than classic Baoding Balls.
